2 cups All-Purpose Flour
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Sugar
4 teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2 cup Crisco® Shortening
3/4 cup Milk
Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl.
- Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mix resembles coarse meal.
- Add milk all at once and stir until the dough forms a ball around the fork.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead 15 times.
- Roll dough to 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut into rounds with a 3″ cutter.
- Place about 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
