Ingredients

2 cups sifted flour
3/4 teasp. salt
2 and 1/2 teasp. baking powder
1/4 cup crunchy-style peanut butter
2 tablesp. shortening
3/4 cup milk

Method

  1. Sift dry ingredients and work in blended peanut butter and shortening. Add milk stir to a soft dough.
  2. Knead a few times on a lightly floured board. Roll or pat to 1/2 in. thick. Cut rounds.
  3. Bake on ungreased baking sheet 450 degree for 12 to 15 minutes.
  4. Split, butter and tuck in a very thin slice of ham.
