Ingredients

1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup rye flour
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cold butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the egg and milk just until combined.
  2. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 2 in. apart onto a greased baking sheet.
  3. Bake at 400 degrees F for 7-10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a wire rack.
